Do you offer free shipping?

Yes, shipping is free on all our products.

Can I include a gift message?

Yes!  There is an area on the product's screen when checked and product purchased, it sends us a message.  We will send you an email with the description of the product you have purchased to include in a card.  This notifies the recipient that they expect a package in the future.

Can I ship my order directly to the recipient?

Yes. You will be able to include the recipient's address and your billing address information at check out.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

Currently, we do not offer gift wrapping.

Can you ship to a funeral home?

We are able to ship to a funeral home. However, we recommend shipping directly to the recipient's home address. There will be times when the product(s) will arrive past the memorial service. The recipient would then need to make a trip to the funeral home to pick up the gift, which can be difficult for them.

When will my order ship?

Most items in stock ship within 7-10 business days. Days for shipping do not include legal holidays, Saturday, or Sunday. There are many exceptions so please refer to the product page for the detailed information.  There may be a delay due to the COVID-19 virus also.  We make every effort to get your gift to the recipient in the shortest period of time.  However, some things are beyond our control.

Can items be personalized?

We offer several items which can be personalized.

I did not receive an order confirmation or tracking information. Why?

Check your Junk or Spam folder. Often, that is where you can find the confirmation and tracking information should the emails have been filtered in error.

Do you charge sales tax?

We collect Iowa sales tax on all items purchased.

Does your website ship to all 50 states?

We ship to the lower 48 states only.

Does your website ship internationally?

No, we do not.

Why is my order being returned to you and what happens now?

It could be one of many reasons: no mail receptacle, the address was invalid, missing a suite or apartment number, a note was left for the recipient to pick up the package and they did not in the time specified by the delivery service. Once we have received the package back, we will contact you for a correct shipping address as well as to collect additional shipping fee plus any restocking fee. We ship products the first time, for free. Thereafter, we do not.

There is a mistake on my personalization.

All of us make mistakes including us. Please review your order for a second time, before you place your order. We copy and paste the information you entered at the time of your order, for the personalization to be engraved on your gift. It is the person who places the order, to review it to make sure all the words and dates are correct. We do not fix any words or dates. The personalization you have entered including all spelling, names, dates, etc. will be what is engraved on the item(s). If you made an error and need a replacement, we offer a 10% discount on the replacement. However if the information was not correct when it was entered on your order, we will not ship it for free. If we made the mistake, we would replace your item at no cost to you and will ship it for free.

Do you have a catalog you can send me?

No, we do not.

Can I use special characters in my personalization?

No, only letters and numbers can be used for personalization.

Can I order more than one item?

Yes. They may all arrive at different times depending on if they are in stock, need personalization, or are shipped directly from one of our suppliers.

My order was damaged during shipping. What should I do?

Contact us at info@givesympathy.com. We will be happy to work with you to get the situation corrected.

Can I return something if I do not care for the item once I have received it?

No.  We only accept returns on items which were damaged in shipping or were not the items you ordered.

Before placing your order, please be sure of your choice of gift.

There will be no refunds if you made an incorrect choice. Also look over your order to be sure of the accuracy of the information you have entered on the form(s). You can cancel an order up until the time the order has been placed with the warehouse. No refunds on personalized items. Only gifts to be returned are those received damaged or incorrect items received. There will be no refunds or returns after 3 business days of receiving the gift.
